Commit to Fit! is teaming up with the Crim Fitness Foundation to offer the Healthy Holidays Challenge.
As part of the four-week initiative, participants are challenged with logging 2,000 wellness points over the course of one month, and earn one point for every minute of activity and 10 points for every minute of mindfulness.
Examples of mindfulness activities include meditation, breathing exercises, yoga and mindful coloring (free pages are available for download on the Commit to Fit site). In fact, participants will have access to a number of free and discounted yoga classes over the next few weeks.
Crim Yoga After Work – Nov. 30 and Dec. 7 (5:15-6:15 p.m., prompt start)

An eclectic and mindful approach to Hatha yoga. Wear comfortable clothes. $5 donation per session.
Senior Stretch – Nov. 28, Dec. 5, Dec. 12 (10-11 a.m.)

Improve overall strength and flexibility. Ideal for all fitness levels, this class is led by a certified senior fitness instructor who will guide you through the exercises at your own pace. Sessions are free for challenge participants.
Yoga – Daily
Yoga Loft at Buckham Gallery, 134 ½ W. Second St., Flint

UM-Flint Recreation Center, 401 Mill St., Flint
A well-rounded class for all levels that combines the elements of yoga, Pilates, ballet, strength and cardiovascular conditioning. Sessions are free for challenge participants.
The challenge – which officially kicked off Nov. 14 and runs through Dec. 9 – is available at no cost to individuals who live or work in Genesee County. Registration is due by Nov. 28.
